Terms & Conditions

The holidays featured on our brochure, social media, and website (ytc.com.mt) are planned and operated by YTC.

Booking Deposit
A booking deposit is typically around €500 per person. This deposit is considered a payment towards the total cost of your holiday. By paying it, you are committing to pay the full balance. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure or immediately upon booking. The deposit can be paid by cash or cheque and is non-refundable.

Holiday Insurance
It is compulsory to have holiday insurance that covers the entire duration of your trip, including protection for your baggage and cancellations. YTC offers an insurance policy that is generally cheaper since we book as a group, not as individuals. Alternatively, you may arrange your own policy that provides similar or better coverage.

Informative Meeting
Before each tour, you will be provided with the date and time of a compulsory informative meeting, which must be attended by you and all adult members of your group.

Seat Allocation
Seat allocations are at the discretion of the airline, except in cases where special arrangements are required.

Passport and Visa
You must have a valid passport and any necessary visas for your trip. Ensure you check passport and visa requirements well in advance, especially if traveling outside the EU or to a non-Schengen country. Non-Maltese passport holders should also verify these requirements.

Luggage
Any charges for excess luggage weight must be paid directly to the airline. Luggage must always be managed, carried, and packed by the owner.

European Health Insurance
It is your responsibility to carry a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for travel within EU countries.

Leader’s Contact Information
Keep the leader’s mobile number and the name of the hotel you will be staying at in case you get lost.

Excursions
If you plan to skip any excursions, please inform YTC in advance, preferably before your holiday begins while still in Malta.

Responsibility for Children
Children are the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians throughout the holiday.

Behavior
YTC condemns any disruptive, dangerous, or annoying behavior by you or your children, including any damage to property. No refunds will be provided for costs incurred due to such behavior.

Departure Times
Departure times will be advised in advance. If you are late, the leader has the right to depart at the appointed time, and no responsibility will be taken for any missed transport. Any replacement transport will be at your own expense.|

Room Allocation
Rooms are allocated according to a list provided to the accommodation providers. Any lost keys must be paid for.

Meals
Meals typically consist of a three-course set menu with moderate portions. If you have food intolerances or dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian or vegan), please inform us in advance. Drinks, including water and wine, are not always included with meals.

Mini-Bar and Telephone Charges
Use of the mini-bar and telephone calls made from the room will be charged at the reception desk upon check-out.

Lost or Stolen Items
Immediately inform the leader if any of your possessions are lost or stolen, as a police report will need to be filed for insurance purposes.

Free Time
The group leader or guide is not obligated to accompany you or your group members to shops, markets, theme parks, or sites during free time, nor are they required to dine with you.

Illness
If you fall ill during the trip, the leader will arrange for a doctor via the hotel reception. Payment for medical services must be made directly by you, with receipts to be claimed from your insurance once you return to Malta.

Force Majeure
YTC is not liable for any loss of holiday time or disruptions due to natural disasters, bad weather, industrial action, war, government restrictions, or any other force majeure circumstances.

Complaints
If you encounter any problems or have a complaint during the trip, please inform the tour leader or hotel reception while abroad, not after your return to Malta.

Itinerary Changes
YTC reserves the right to change the itinerary, holiday programme, flights, or accommodation due to unforeseen circumstances.

Holiday Cancellation
YTC reserves the right to cancel your holiday up to 15 days prior to departure. In this event, you will be refunded the full amount paid to YTC.

Liability
YTC is not responsible for any incidents, injuries, delays, irregularities, or damage to personal effects, luggage, or passengers. We also accept no responsibility for losses or irregularities caused by subcontracted services, such as airlines, hotels, coaches, or mini-vans.

Pandemics and Other Situations
YTC cannot be held responsible for any pandemic or other unforeseen situations that may arise during your holiday.
